Giants Lose to Reds, 6-3
|
Cincinnati and San Francisco duked it out and the Reds came out victorious.
Cincinnati starter Gary Nolan had a strong outing against the San Francisco Giants at Candlestick Park 1993. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. Nolan went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 0. His record improves to 12-2.
It could have been a different outcome for Cincinnati, had it not been for Darrell Evans, the four-time Gold Glove Award winner . Evans contributed a run-scoring triple in the top of the second inning to put Cincinnati up, 2-0.
"I guess we'll all be a happy family for at least one day," said Evans.
With the win, Cincinnati raised its record to 44-29.
