Blue Jays Bridle Mariners, 3-1
|
Toronto right-hander Storm Davis pitched his team to victory over the Seattle Mariners at Exhibition Stadium 1977. The final score was 3-1. Toronto now has a record of 43-33 with the win.
Jose Carrillo drove in one run for Toronto. The 28-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Larry Aubel. It was his 6th RBI of the season.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Davis said.
