Rhoden Takes Charge, Blanks Houston, 7-0 Sunday, September 19th, 1982 In an outstanding mound performance, Los Angeles Dodgers starter Rick Rhoden fired a complete-game shutout against the Houston Astros at Dodger Stadium 1962 today. Rhoden was the key to the Dodgers's 7-0 win. The 29-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 4 hits and no walks he allowed. "4 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout."
