Dodgers Crowned Kings of the National League West Division Tuesday, September 28th, 1982 Los Angeles Dodgers fans have reason to celebrate today, as their franchise is the class of the National League West Division. With their record standing at 100-56, the club officially wrapped up the division title today, for the 19th time. Manager Jason Gudim said everyone on their roster is looking forward to the postseason and trying to capture the club's 5th championship. "That's what you dream about your whole life," Gudim said. Starting Pitcher Mike Scott added that it's a great feeling to win the division, but said ultimately, a World Series victory is what will mark success for the club. |
