Mariners Come up Short of Playoffs Thursday, September 30th, 1982 Despite their best efforts to remain in the race, the playoff chase is over for the Seattle Mariners. The club has now been mathematically eliminated from clinching a postseason berth. This is the 1st time in a row that the Mariners have missed the playoffs.Their last payoff appearance was in 1981. |
