Year Ends for Nick Bowditch in Seattle Saturday, October 2nd, 1982 Doctors in Seattle said Nick Bowditch might not play anymore this year. The Mariners reliever suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow during a game against the Toronto Blue Jays and will be out for at least 8 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season. To date, Bowditch has collected 26 saves in 71 relief appearances. He has rung up 130 strikeouts and 31 walks in 107 innings while registering a 3.70 ERA and a 6-11 won-lost record. |
