Langston Brilliant, Blanks Bears

Mark Langston of Oklahoma City easily handled the Denver Bears, stopping them on 7 hits and chucking a complete-game 2-0 shutout.
"He really did a job on us," said Denver manager . "He had good command of his pitches. He changed speeds well and confused us. We never could zero in on him, but he certainly zeroed in on us."
He finished the game with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks in a solid outing.
To date Langston is 6-3 in 11 starts with a 3.12 ERA and has 70 strikeouts in 86.2 innings.
