Gooden Dominates Bears in 5-0 Shutout Wednesday, August 25th, 1982 In an excellent mound performance, Dwight Gooden of the Iowa Oaks whitewashed the Denver Bears 5-0 on a 3-hitter. "I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches," he said after the game. In all, the Iowa hurler rang up 4 strikeouts and 1 walk in the shutout win.
