Drillers Win Tight American Association West Race Saturday, September 11th, 1982 Tulsa Drillers fans are walking a little prouder today after their team officially clinched the American Association West. "There's no reason to believe we can't win it all," starting pitcher Luis Garcia said bluntly. "Whether or not we're favorites, we can definitely do what it takes to bring the Round 1 home to Tulsa." The division crown is the 5th for the Drillers. The club will be looking for its 2nd Round 1 victory. The team's manager said "preparation and focus" will be key to bring home the championship. |
