Allen Hurls Shutout Saturday, July 24th, 1982 Mike Allen was in command in his outing against the Louisville Stallions. He hurled the Richmond Braves to a 4-0 shutout victory, yielded 10 hits and chalked up 8 strikeouts and 1 walk. "A complete-game shutout is fun territory for me," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I had good balance and mechanics and was able to keep the ball down. When I do that, good things happen." To date this season Allen is 7-2 with 11 starts and an ERA of 2.62 with 64 strikeouts in 96.1 innings. View Boxscore |
