IL's Premier Batter Picked Sunday, August 1st, 1982 Even though he is a newcomer to International League, Howard Johnson put up some good numbers in July and earned the IL Batter of the Month award. He was one of Richmond's offensive leaders with a .281 average in 26 games. He also racked up 4 home runs, 14 RBIs, and 17 runs scored. For the year Johnson is batting .281 with 13 home runs. |
