Gleckel Pitches Columbus to Shutout Victory Wednesday, July 21st, 1982 Scott Gleckel was dynamite at Golden Park today, blowing away the Asheville Tourists in a shutout victory. The Columbus Skeeters starter had everything working as he held the Tourists to 4 hits in the 1-0 win. "He was pure nasty out there today," said Asheville skipper . "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing." Gleckel finished the game with 6 strikeouts and 2 walks.
