Barons Mathematically Out of Playoffs Sunday, August 29th, 1982 Birmingham Barons fans have long since given up any meager playoff hopes. The Barons made it official today, becoming mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the postseason. Birmingham last appeared in the postseason in 1971. This is their 11th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 11 times in their 12-year history. |
