Ramsey Spins Shutout Against Hornets

Mike J Ramsey held the Charlotte Hornets to 2 hits and fashioned a fine 2-0 shutout at Clark Griffith Park today.

Speaking after the game, Montgomery Rebels manager said "Ramsey had everything going for him today."

He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement," he said. "He was masterful."

Ramsey rung up 4 strikeouts and surrendered 2 walks in the game.

"We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," Charlotte manager told reporters.

On the season Ramsey has compiled a 5-4 mark with a 3.31 ERA in 11 starts. In pitching 87 innings he has 76 strikeouts and 61 walks while limiting the opposition to a .185 batting average.
