Puleo Razor-Sharp, Shuts Out Amarillo Monday, July 5th, 1982 Charlie Puleo pitched a strong game at Dudley Field today, blanking the Amarillo Gold Sox 5-0. Puleo allowed no runs on 2 hits, totaled 5 strikeouts and gave up 2 walks. El Paso manager said he could tell immediately it was going to be a good game for Puleo. "Right from the start, you could see how economical he was," said. "He threw a lot of strikes."
