TL Star of the Week Chosen Monday, July 19th, 1982 Mike Felder burst onto the Texas League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie second baseman for Amarillo garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 20-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .609 (14-for-23) with no home runs and 9 RBIs last week. To date Felder has chalked up a .296 average with 5 home runs, driven in 41 runs and scored 76 times. |
