Dreadful Season Sees Playoff Hopes Dashed for Shreveport Tuesday, August 10th, 1982 Things haven't been going too well for the Shreveport Braves this season and now mathematics is against them as well. The club has been officially eliminated from postseason contention. Shreveport last appeared in the postseason in 1978. This is their 4th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 10 times in their 12-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Braves have missed the playoffs 8 times. |
