Miller Selected TL Player of the Week Monday, August 30th, 1982 So far in his young career, Gerald Miller has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Texas League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 23-year-old Round Rock Express right fielder hit at a torrid .375 clip as he collected 9 hits in 24 at-bats, 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and 5 runs scored. For the season, Miller is hitting at a .205 clip with 17 home runs, 53 RBIs and has scored 49 runs. He has 75 hits, 67 walks and a .331 on-base percentage. |
