Amarillo's Meadows Top TL Batter in August Wednesday, September 1st, 1982 Louie Meadows is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Amarillo left fielder joined that select company when the Texas League announced the results of August's voting. Meadows totaled 29 hits, 34 walks, 5 home runs, 28 RBIs and 20 runs scored last month to put together a .341 batting average and .537 on-base percentage. Looking at his season stats, Meadows has compiled a .284 batting average and a .449 on-base percentage, while hitting 12 home runs and driving in 70 runs. |
