TL Pitcher of the Year Award Winner Announced Wednesday, September 29th, 1982 William Fewox had a marvelous 1982 season. The San Antonio mound mainstay garnered the most votes and has been named the TL Pitcher of the Year Award honoree. The Missions star dominated his opposition, finishing with 21 wins, 4 losses and a 2.94 ERA. In 34 starts he worked a total of 266 innings, striking out 296, while walking 112. Other clubs managed to hit only .193 against him. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Toru Hamaura of the Dallas-Fort Worth Rangers finished second in voting, while Roy J Thomas of the Dallas-Fort Worth Rangers finished third.
