Cuevas Thwarts Salinas, 10-0 Thursday, June 24th, 1982 Luis Cuevas was dynamite at Apples Ballpark today, blowing away the Salinas Fire Frogs in a shutout victory. The Bakersfield Bears starter had everything working as he held the Fire Frogs to 6 hits in the 10-0 win. "He was pure nasty out there today," said Salinas skipper . "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing." Cuevas finished the game with 6 strikeouts and 1 walk.
