Valentin Tosses 1-0 Shutout Against Lodi Sunday, July 25th, 1982 Ricky Valentin was in command in his outing against the Lodi Crushers. He hurled the Visalia Mets to a 1-0 shutout victory, yielded 2 hits and chalked up 3 strikeouts and 1 walk. "A complete-game shutout is fun territory for me," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I had good balance and mechanics and was able to keep the ball down.
