Cuevas, on Top of His Game, Beats Stockton, 2-0 Monday, July 26th, 1982 Luis Cuevas of Bakersfield easily handled the Stockton Ports, stopping them on 3 hits and chucking a complete-game 2-0 shutout. "He really did a job on us," said Stockton manager . "He had good command of his pitches. He changed speeds well and confused us. We never could zero in on him, but he certainly zeroed in on us."
