Miami Shut Out by Christison
Friday, July 2nd, 1982
It was a dismal game for the Miami Whales with Steven Christison on the hill. The Daytona Beach Islanders starter was in top form and made it a long day for Miami with a 5-0 shutout. He surrendered a total of 7 hits and piled up 4 strikeouts to pick up the win in a rout.
"No offense to the Whales but that was a cakewalk today," Christison said to BNN reporters following the win.
Christison has started 14 times this year, pitched 99.1 innings, fanned 60 batters and walked 53. His current record is 6 wins and 5 losses with a 4.26 ERA.
