Expos Buried - Out of Playoffs Monday, August 2nd, 1982 Any hopes of a playoff berth for the West Palm Beach Expos this season were already a long shot at best. But even the longshot hopes are now gone, as the team was officially eliminated from playoff contention today. The Expos have missed the playoffs 11 times in their 12 years as a Florida State League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 5th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1976. In the last 10 seasons, the Expos have missed the playoffs 9 times. |
