Islanders, Tomac Blank Sun Sox Wednesday, September 4th, 1974 The Daytona Beach Islanders bested the Winter Haven Sun Sox 1-0 today behind the 11-hit pitching of right-hander Dusty Tomac. The Daytona Beach hurler had 7 strikeouts and 1 walk in going the distance. "Pitching 9 innings is never easy, but it's rewarding on a day like today," Tomac said.
