Pilots Laga Smacks 5 Hits Thursday, August 5th, 1982 Mike Laga said "it felt like taking batting practice" today at Yankees Ballpark, and it showed in the box score. The Lakeland first baseman had a fantastic 5-for-5 day against the Fort Myers Palms, leading his club to victory, 14-4. "I was seeing the ball very well and it was going just about anywhere I wanted," Laga said later." Mike Laga hit a sac fly in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
