Miami Whales Mathematically Out of Playoffs Tuesday, August 10th, 1982 Miami Whales fans have long since given up any meager playoff hopes. The Whales made it official today, becoming mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the postseason. Before this season, the Whales last missed the playoffs in 1980. In the 12 years they have been a Florida State League franchise, they have missed the playoffs 9 times. In the last 10 years, they have missed the playoffs 7 times. Miami has won the Round 1 2 times in their history. |
