Aguilar Hurls Peninsula to Shutout Win Tuesday, July 27th, 1982 Bill Aguilar of the Peninsula Panthers shut out the Kinston Eagles 5-0 at Peninsula War Memorial Stadium today, holding them to 3 hits with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts. Pressed for comments on his club's defeat, Kinston skipper called the outing from Aguilar "a jewel." "The way Aguilar was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him," he said.
