Straker Holds Winston-Salem Scoreless Wednesday, July 28th, 1982 Les Straker hurled nothing but zeros at the Winston-Salem Spirits in an impressive outing at Devereaux Meadow today. The Raleigh-Durham pitcher allowed 7 hits, fanned 9 and walked 2 in blanking Winston-Salem, 6-0. "There were a lot of frustrated guys walking back to the dugout today," Winston-Salem manager said.
