Star of the Week Awarded in CRL Monday, August 9th, 1982 David Stokes of the Peninsula Panthers had an enormous week at the plate and today was voted the Player of the Week by the Carolina League. For the week Stokes batted .469 (15-for-32) with 1 home run and 8 RBIs. This season Stokes is swinging the bat at a .294 rate with 114 hits in 388 at-bats. To date he has hit 8 home runs, scored 51 runs and driven in 71. |
