Cary Shuts Down Grizzlies, 2-0 Tuesday, August 17th, 1982 Chuck Cary of the Spartanburg Spartans overwhelmed the Greenwood Grizzlies and walked off the mound with a complete-game shutout. He blanked them 2-0 on 5 hits with a total of 5 strikeouts and 6 walks. "Chuck was on quite a roll," Spartanburg manager said. "He gets great late movement and he doesn't give in to the hitters."
