Lucas Pitches 1-0 Shutout for Clinton

Brian Lucas of the Clinton Pilots was cool and collected on the mound, leading his club to a shutout victory over the Quad Cities Angels, 1-0.
"He was mixing his pitches real well and keeping his composure on the mound," Clinton manager said later. "When Brian does that, good things happen."
The left-hander had 4 strikeouts, 3 walks and allowed 5 hits in the win.
This year Lucas has a 3-7 mark in 12 starts with a 4.08 ERA. He has given up 76 hits in 79.1 innings, struck out 39 and issued 41 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .251 batting average against him.
