Finch Wins MWL Top Pitcher Honors Sunday, August 1st, 1982 A 5-1 record with a 2.17 ERA is a good month for most any pitcher. The Midwest League thought it was worthy of an award and named Steve Finch, starter for the Quincy Cubs, July's Pitcher of the Month. He also held the opposition to a .205 average while posting 36 strikeouts in 58 innings. So far this year Finch has 7 wins and 9 losses and a 3.43 ERA. |
