Baseball officials have notified the Cardinals and Timber Rattlers organizations that one of their players has been suspended for "inappropriate and aggressive behavior" in yesterday's Cedar Rapids-Wisconsin Rapids contest at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Winston Ficklin of the Cardinals and Steve Korczyk of the Timber Rattlers will have to sit out 4 games for their roles in the free-for-all brawl.

For the year Ficklin is batting .216 with 5 home runs, 28 RBIs and 42 runs scored.

This season Korczyk has made 22 relief appearances, recorded 1 save and compiled a 3-1 won-lost mark and a 4.13 ERA. In pitching 32.2 innings, he has totaled 19 strikeouts and 19 walks.
