MWL's #1 Batter Announced Wednesday, September 1st, 1982 Even though he is a newcomer to Midwest League, Greg Smith put up some good numbers in August and earned the MWL Batter of the Month award. He was one of Wisconsin Rapids's offensive leaders with a .376 average in 21 games. He also racked up 2 home runs, 29 RBIs, and 18 runs scored. This year Smith is batting .336 with 8 home runs. He has scored 80 runs and driven in 95. |
