Hinson and Callahan Brawl, League Suspends Them Tuesday, July 20th, 1982 Gary Hinson of Duluth-Superior and Ben Callahan of Huron were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Hinson will have to miss 4 games for his part in the brawl, while Callahan was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. In the current season, Hinson has put up a .240 batting average with 67 hits, 4 home runs, 17 runs batted in and scored 35 runs. This year Callahan has worked 101 innings with 52 strikeouts en route to a 7-4 record and a 3.21 ERA. |
