Hanggie Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Saturday, August 7th, 1982 Sioux Falls lost to the Duluth-Superior Dukes 4-2 at Wade Stadium today, but Dan Hanggie kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 1 hit. The Packers third baseman has now delivered hits in 20 straight games. "Dan has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Sioux Falls manager told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Dan Hanggie singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, walked in the 6th and grounded out in the 9th. This year Hanggie has hit at a .265 pace and produced 34 RBIs, 8 home runs and scored 24 runs. |
