Gonzalez Captures NTL Batter of Month Award Wednesday, September 1st, 1982 Not known for his offensive prowess, Willis Gonzalez set the league afire in August and took home the Northern League Batter of the Month award. The Huron left fielder posted a steady .370 batting average, 6 home runs, 16 RBIs and 20 runs. Gonzalez has a .326 average and a .408 on-base percentage for the year.
