Kingsport's Brown Snaps Up Player of the Week Monday, August 9th, 1982 The #1 hitter in the Appalachian League was Kingsport left fielder Renard Brown. He was selected the Player of the Week. During the week Brown banged out a .357 batting average (10-for-28), 2 home runs, 9 runs batted in and scored 5 runs. Thus far this year Brown is batting .275 with 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and 12 runs scored. |
