Maciel Beguiles Pulaski Tuesday, August 17th, 1982 Edgardo Maciel shut down the Pulaski Counts today, blanking them 7-0 on 4 hits, ringing up 11 strikeouts and allowing 2 walks. The Blacksburg Tribe pitcher appeared to get stronger as the game went on. "I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Maciel said after the game. "I feel like my mechanics were getting better. I was able to make some adjustments and get a little more comfortable out there." Season-to-date Maciel has rung up 8 wins and 3 losses in 13 appearances.
