Mitchell Blisters Coos Bay-North Bend Tuesday, July 27th, 1982 Scot Mitchell did a number on the Blue Soxs in the Medford 8-7 victory today, and the number was 5. The Nuggets catcher banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Miles Field to lead his club past the Coos Bay-North Bend Blue Soxs. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Scot Mitchell hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Richard Baca in the 9th.
