Johnson Holds Lewiston Scoreless
Saturday, August 7th, 1982
It was a dismal game for the Lewiston Broncs with John Johnson on the hill. The Walla Walla Walleyes starter was in top form and made it a long day for Lewiston with a 14-0 shutout. He surrendered a total of 7 hits and piled up 8 strikeouts to pick up the win in a rout.
"No offense to the Broncs but that was a cakewalk today," Johnson said to BNN reporters following the win.
Thus far this season, Johnson has tossed 94.1 innings in 12 starts, fanned 61 batters, walked 36 and put up a 3.63 ERA with 5 wins and 6 losses.
