Carrasco Stretches Hit String to 20 Saturday, August 14th, 1982 Norm Carrasco of the Bellingham Mariners tagged 1 hit in today's 32-5 loss to the Bend Bandits at Rage Ballpark to run his hitting streak to 20 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 20-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Norm Carrasco flied out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. Carrasco is presently batting .353 with no home runs, 42 runs scored and 23 RBIs. His OBP is .410. |
