Hitting Streak Still Alive for Carrasco Sunday, August 29th, 1982 Norm Carrasco collected 1 hit in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 32 games. His club, the Bellingham Mariners, beat the Medford Nuggets 10-2. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Carrasco quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Norm Carrasco grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and flied out in the 7th. This season Carrasco is batting .354 with 31 RBIs, 50 runs scored and no home runs. |
