Hitting Streak Still Alive for Carrasco

Norm Carrasco's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Bellingham. The 20-year-old second baseman extended it once again today, this time bringing it to 33 games with a 3-for-5 performance against the Medford Nuggets. The Mariners took the game, 11-5.
"People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Norm Carrasco flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
So far this season Carrasco is batting .358 with no home runs, 31 RBIs and 51 runs scored. He has 111 hits in 310 at-bats, 26 walks and a .412 OBP. Carrasco has played in 73 games.
