Tri-City SP John Smiley Injured Monday, September 13th, 1982 Playoff hopes of Dust Devils player John Smiley have been dealt a blow today after tests revealed the starting pitcher suffered a torn back muscle throwing a pitch in today's game against Kennewick Bear Cubs. Smiley is expected to miss up to 4 months, effectively ruling him out of the playoffs. So far this year Smiley has 1 win and 5 losses and a 8.91 ERA. |
