Pioneer League Announces July's Best Batter Sunday, August 1st, 1982 Douglas Reibel let his bat do the talking in July and the Pioneer League heard him loud and clear. He made plenty of noise as he put together a .322 batting average and was named the top hitter of the month. Reibel's month to remember saw him accumulate 28 hits, 5 home runs, 27 RBI, 22 runs, 22 walks and a .457 on-base percentage. Hitting .316 to date, Reibel has 5 home runs and 36 RBIs.
