Beal Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Wednesday, August 11th, 1982 No matter what the Billings Mustangs threw at him today, Tony Beal hit it. He easily handled Mustangs pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Jets to a 6-4 triumph at Cobb Field. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Beal's quip, Mustangs skipper said he "would take him up on that next time." Tony Beal singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This year Beal has hit 4 home runs and posted a .262 batting average.
