Mustangs Come up Short of Playoffs Sunday, August 29th, 1982 The Billings Mustangs kept their playoff hopes alive into the final days of the season, but that will be as far as they go. Today, the club was mathematically eliminated from the postseason. Before this season, the Mustangs last missed the playoffs in 1980. In the 12 years they have been a Pioneer League franchise, they have missed the playoffs 7 times. In the last 10 years, they have missed the playoffs 6 times. Billings last won the Round 2 in 1974. |
